take part
An operational difficulty, an artistic inquiry, a research question, or a technical experiment can be a starting point. We welcome people prepared to engage with other perspectives and take responsibility for what follows.
You can arrive with an unfinished idea. Be ready for it to change in good company.
join the community
Thirty desks in a Kreuzberg courtyard; sixteen are open to members. Members meet monthly to shape the space together.
Make Medulla a regular base for your practice, with room for focused work, exchange across disciplines, and participation in the life of the space.
We welcome small organisations and independent practitioners whose work connects with our purpose and who are willing to share responsibility for the place.

Every member can host one event a month for free on the ground floor. Contributions are monthly and per person, set by how you join (personally, through a non-profit or through a for-profit organisation), not by the organisation's size, and can be discussed case by case. We'll send the details with our reply.
convene a gathering
Develop a workshop, conversation, or educational event within Medulla’s public programme.
We welcome proposals that engage with collective resilience, civic imagination, and the conditions for shared prosperity. Tell us which question deserves attention, whose perspectives are needed, and what the gathering could make possible.
- Evening events generally take place between 18:00 and 21:30.
- We're in a residential courtyard, so no loud music, and doors stay closed.
- Each event has one named Event Lead, from setup to lock-up.
- Shoes off inside, and the space is left as you found it.
- Tell us about your gathering: the question, who it's for, the date, and roughly how many people.
- We check the calendar and confirm with you.
- Once it's confirmed, you can start promoting it. We can list it on Medulla's events too.
support the ambition
Commit to a sustained strand of work with Medulla.
We welcome public institutions, emergency services, cultural organisations, researchers, civic initiatives, technology practitioners, and funders.
Partnerships can fund a specific project or sustain the shared programme. Hosting, coordination, documentation, and care all require time and skilled work. Resourcing them is part of taking collaboration seriously.
